The Green Bay Packers’ run this season has been surprising, to say the least. But for Elgton Jenkins, one of the team’s most vocal leaders, they’re only just starting their journey toward the Super Bowl in 2025.
After trading Aaron Rodgers to the New York Jets during the previous offseason, many expected the Packers to sink to the bottom of the league. Instead, Jordan Love rose up to the challenge and led the NFL’s youngest roster to an impressive run in the playoffs.
The thing is, the Green Bay Packers faced the top-seeded San Francisco 49ers and were eliminated by them. Even if the team were in the driver’s seat for most of the game, the final stretch saw several guys make crucial mistakes that led the 49ers to secure the win and advance to the NFC championship.
But even with Anders Carlson and Love committing those mistakes, the outlook on the team remains as bright as ever.
Elgton Jenkins Shares Optimistic Super Bowl 2025 Take for the Green Bay Packers
Sharing that outlook is Jenkins, and his take on the future of the Packers is one that will leave fans excited in the coming years.
“Last offseason, I wanted to win. This year, I wanted to win, and next year, I’m going to want to win,” Jenkins said to the media.
“We’re coming. We’re coming with a purpose. We want to win it all. Feel like we could have done it this year but next year I’m very optimistic. We’ve got the guys in the building. We’ve got everything that we need to get it done. We’ve just got to go do it. We set a good foundation this year. We’ve just got to go win,” Jenkins added.
The goal Jenkins was alluding to was the Packers reaching the Super Bowl. With his optimistic take on the future, paired with how Love has shaped up to be the team’s star quarterback, there’s hope for Green Bay to do the impossible, especially if it loads up in the offseason via the draft or signing proven veterans to help out.
In any case, the entire league will be put on notice next season when the Packers begin their quest to reach the Super Bowl.
