Warriors’ Chris Paul Ejected for “TikToker” Comment in Final Seconds

Chris Paul told NBA reporters after the Golden State Warriors lost to the Indiana Pacers that he called referee Tony Brothers a “TikToker” during their back-and-forth.

Warriors star Chris Paul trolls 'TikToker' Tony Brothers after shocking ejection vs. Pacers

Brothers gave Paul a technical foul and then ejected the future Hall of Famer after Paul said Brothers had too much power.

Paul posted a TikTok interview with Brothers on his Instagram where Brothers stated that he doesn’t care too much for basketball and then called himself the “judge, jury, prosecuting attorney, defense attorney,” a comment that Paul alluded to in his postgame media session.

Paul finished with 12 points, six rebounds and four assists against the Pacers in 24 minutes while shooting 5-of-10 from the field and 2-of-5 from beyond the arc. The Warriors lost by a final score of 123-111.

Golden State is now 36-33 on the season. The Los Angeles Lakers beat the Philadelphia 76ers at home, bumping them 1.5 games up on the Warriors for the ninth spot in the Western Conference standings. Golden State is getting threatened from behind by the scorching Houston Rockets for the 10th seed.

The Rockets are just 2.0 games back of the Warriors, who lost to the Lakers in the second round of the 2023 playoffs in six games.

Golden State has a challenging open to a five-game road trip. They are in Minnesota on Sunday to face the Timberwolves before a Florida back-to-back against the Miami Heat and Orlando Magic.

“Ain’t nobody gonna feel sorry for us,” Paul said.

In his first season with the Warriors, Paul is averaging 9.5 points, 4.0 rebounds and 7.0 assists while shooting 44.5% from the field, 38.6% from 3 and 83.3% from the foul line. The NBA legend has appeared in 45 games.
