Unexpected Interest In Matt LaFleur Surfaced From Former Team

The Green Bay Packers hired Matt LaFleur as their head coach in 2019. Prior to that, he had worked with various other teams, such as the Houston Texans, Washington Commanders, Atlanta Falcons, Los Angeles Rams, and the Tennessee Titans. While he was the offensive coordinator in Tennessee, LaFleur was in charge of calling the plays. He has an impressive record of 59-31 as a head coach and has led his team to the playoffs four out of five seasons. Additionally, hindsight is 20/20, but a former team may regret the decision to let him walk.

The Tennessee Titans have had a rough start to their offseason. They made the unpopular decision to fire their head coach and leader, Mike Vrabel, which caused discontent among fans. Additionally, there are reports that the Titans may have made a mistake by letting Matt LaFleur go.

There is some indication of regret, but the statement could easily be misinterpreted and used as an example. LaFleur had a challenging 2018 season as the Titans’ play-caller, but things may have been different if he had stayed.
