Former Green Bay Packers Head Coach to Team up with Mike Zimmer?
Although a mere report of interest in the job is remotely close to anything concrete with regards to Zimmer getting the Cowboys’ DC work, it’s enough to pique the interest of Green Bay Packers and NFL fans in general.
Zimmer has not coached in the NFL since getting fired by the Vikings in 2021. McCarthy, on the other hand, parted ways with the Green Bay Packers in 2018 when the franchise handed him a pink slip following a December loss to the Arizona Cardinals. In 2020, McCarthy became head coach of the Cowboys.
