Golden State Warriors: Draymond Green, Moses Moody Land on Injury Report in Concerning Development

The Golden State Warriors are hoping to climb in the Western Conference standings when they take on the Memphis Grizzlies on Wednesday. However, they could be without two key players in Draymond Green and Moses Moody.

Both Green and Moody landed on the Warriors’ latest injury report, raising some concerns about their availability moving forward.

Draymond Green, Moses Moody Injured for Golden State Warriors

Both Green and Moody featured for the Warriors in their Monday showdown with the New York Knicks. Green played 31 minutes and tallied two points, eight rebounds and five assists in the painful 119-112 loss. Moody, for his part, was barely used after playing just eight minutes and scoring three points on top of one assist.

Unfortunately for the Warriors, the two appeared to sustain some physical problems during the contest. Green is now experiencing lower back soreness, while Moody is dealing with left knee soreness. Apparently, the knee issue was the reason Moody’s participation against the Knicks was limited.

Green and Moody are listed as questionable against the Grizzlies.

“Draymond Green is questionable against the Grizzlies tomorrow night with lower back soreness. He missed a game in Dallas last week because of it. Moses Moody is questionable with left knee soreness. He left last night’s game because of it,” Anthony Slater of The Athletic reported.

Golden State Warriors Facing Potential Problem Amid Draymond Green, Moses Moody’s Injury Status

Sure enough, it’s still unknown whether Draymond Green and Moses Moody will be able to play. The questionable status is still a better one that a “doubtful” or a straight off “Out” designation. Being questionable means there’s still a chance for the two to suit up and play.

Nonetheless, Golden State Warriors fans still can’t take it as a good news, especially amid their bid to avoid the Play-In and compete for a Top 6 seed in the West. With the Dubs also struggling at home, the potential absence of the two could even get more problematic.

Green and Moody’s injuries mean the two could end up not being at 100 percent against the Memphis Grizzlies. While the Grind City franchise is also not with its best player in Ja Morant and has been dealing with a plethora of injuries of their own, they still can’t be underestimated.

Missing the presence of their defensive anchor in Green and a reliable backup wing in Moody could be catastrophic for the Warriors.

Golden State, at the time of writing, is 35-32 on the season, good for 10th in the Western Conference. They are a full four games behind the sixth-seeded Sacramento Kings.

For now, Warriors fans can only hope for the best when it comes to Green and Moody’s statuses on Wednesday.
