Former Philadelphia Eagles defensive coordinator Sean Desai has found a new home in the NFL.
According to ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler, Desai is expected to join the Los Angeles Rams coaching staff in a senior defensive role.
“Rams expected to hire former Eagles DC Sean Desai in a senior defensive role, per sources,” Fowler reported via X/Twitter on Sunday. “More experience for Sean McVay’s staff, as Desai is a two-time NFL coordinator.”

Desai joined the Eagles last season and ran the defense until Week 14 of the 2023 regular season. It was then that Nick Sirianni stripped Desai of his play-calling duties and handed them over to defensive assistant Matt Patricia instead.
That move by Sirianni backfired for the Eagles.
After starting the year 10-1, the Birds lost six of their final seven contests, including an embarrassing 32-9 playoff loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
Under Patricia, their defense looked much worse as they allowed an average of 27.8 points per game down the stretch after surrendering 24.7 points per game with Desai in charge.
The Eagles moved on from both Desai and Patricia in January.
Now Desai will get a fresh start and a chance to bounce back in LA.
