Following the announcement, the Eagles released a statement on behalf of head coach Nick Sirianni:

“As an accomplished offensive coordinator, a former NFL player, and a Heisman finalist, Kellen has shown a tremendous ability to lead an offense at every level of the sport while gaining the trust and respect of his players and teammates. He is an incredibly smart football coach whose depth of knowledge of the game has helped him become a talented playcaller in this league. During Kellen’s tenure as an NFL coach, he has helped to develop some of the best quarterbacks in the league and directed some of its best offenses. We are thrilled to have Kellen join our team.”

Kellen Moore’s Quick Path to OC
Moore, 35, jump-started his coaching career as the Dallas Cowboys quarterbacks coach in 2018. One year later, he was promoted to offensive coordinator.

In four seasons under Moore (2019-22), the Cowboys ranked second in total offense (391.0 net YPG) and scoring (27.7 PPG). Moore’s unit was also the league’s fourth-best passing offense (264.4 net YPG) and ranked seventh in rushing offense (126.6 YPG).

Moore helped Dallas win two NFC East titles and secure three playoff berths.

After parting ways with the Cowboys, Moore joined the Los Angeles Chargers coaching staff in 2023. Under Moore this past season, the Chargers ranked 18th in total offense, 13th in passing, 25th in rushing and 21st in scoring.

Prior to joining the coaching world, Moore played backup quarterback for the Cowboys and Detroit Lions.

Now with the Eagles, Moore will be 100 percent in charge of the playcalling and be tasked with getting Jalen Hurts and the rest of the offense back on track.

He also brings quarterbacks coach Doug Nussmeier with him to Philly.
