The Philadelphia Eagles All-Pro pass rusher Haason Reddick could be one step closer to leaving his hometown team.
According to CBS Sports Josina Anderson, there are “several teams” interested in trading for the Eagles’ back-to-back sack leader.
Reddick was granted permission to seek a trade earlier this month that he did not ask for. In fact, he announced that he hopes to stay in Philly.
But it’s looking more and more like he may not get his wish.

With the Eagles allowing him to look elsewhere, it means they could not be willing to pay him more than the $16 million (not guaranteed) salary that he’s under contract for in 2024.
Additionally, general manager Howie Roseman recently would not confirm that Reddick would be back next fall, though he did speak highly of him.
“I’d say this: Haason, obviously, an unbelievable player for the Philadelphia Eagles,” Roseman said at the NFL Combine this week, via NBC Sports’ Dave Zangaro. “Local kid, great success story. Camden, Temple, Philly. Love having Haason.
“I think that anything you’re trying to do, you’re trying to blend what you’re trying to do this year and what you’re trying to do in the future. I think that’s the hardest job. Don’t want to get into any specifics with any conversations with players but have tremendous respect for the player and person.”
The Eagles are going to do what benefits them in the long run and signing a soon-to-be 30-year-old pass rusher to an extension doesn’t sound like that’s the best business decision if multiple trade suitors are out there.
