DeSean Jackson Accusing Ex of ‘Cult-Like Behavior’ In Custody Battle

In his time with the Philadelphia Eagles (and through his NFL career), DeSean Jackson was considered the greatest deep-threat receiver in league history.

Years after playing in his final game, Jackson is in the news, although it’s for something that he can’t be too pleased about.

DeSean Jackson Accusing Ex of 'Cult-Like Behavior' In Custody Battle

Jackson filed for custody over his sons while claiming their mother abandoned them and displaying “cult-like” behavior as first reported by The Blast. Other complaints include her being “brainwashed by the doctrine of ‘The Most High.'”

In the custody battle, the three-time Pro Bowl wide receiver accused his ex-wife of joining a religious group called “The Most High.” The two had split in 2020, but after Jackson visited Florida last year to bring his kids to California, he has been unable to reach out to her since.

“(She) stopped calling me about the children’s return, so I enrolled the children in school here in Los Angeles and the children have been living with me since,” Jackson said.

The former second-round pick out of Cal has made it clear he would like to have custody over his two children (DeSean, 8, and Jace, 5) due to his stable environment.

Jackson caught 641 passes for over 11,000 career yards with 58 touchdowns in 14 seasons with stints highlighted in Tampa Bay, Washington, and the team that drafted him, the Eagles.
