Cowboys’ Prescott Named ‘Most Hated’ Player by Steelers’ Harris

Dallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott is one of the most polarizing players in the NFL. And it’s not because he’s done anything negative off the field, but rather, it’s due to his performance constantly put under an intense microscope.

Cowboys' Prescott Named 'Most Hated' Player by Steelers' Harris

There is seemingly no in-between with the opinions on Prescott; either you love or hate him.

This makes it no surprise that during a recent interview this week, Pittsburgh Steelers running back Najee Harris named Prescott the most hated player in the league today.

“Who has the most hate? Dak Prescott,” Harris said. “That’s a no-brainer. I don’t think people understand how hard it is to play quarterback, first of all, in the NFL, but not only that, play for the Cowboys, and you [are] winning 11-12 games a year. And you are still saying that’s not enough, and he doesn’t play defense. There’s not many teams in the NFL that have a quarterback like that.”

The “hate” or “criticism,” if you will, doesn’t stop with fans. Even media members partake in the endless bashing of the Cowboys quarterback. Famously, former Philadelphia Eagles running back and now turned Fox Sports 1 co-host of “Speak” LeSean McCoy referred to Prescott’s play in 2022 as “a**.” … all part of a sort of “cottage industry” of pseudo-analysis from a negative point of view largely created by the likes of Skip Bayless and Stephen A. Smith.

Even after this past season, where Prescott finished as a finalist for the league’s MVP award after throwing for 4,516 yards, 36 touchdowns, and just nine interceptions, there is a “narrative” of what Dak is … and once other players on other teams are recognizing it as ridiculous?

Maybe any fair-minded observer ought to do the same.
