Austin Reaves sums up teammate Anthony Davis’ never-seen-before performance in NBA with three words

The Los Angeles Lakers have been having a great time, as they hop on a two-game win streak, led by none other than Anthony Davis . The win over the Bucks followed by the win over the Timberwolves, Los Angeles is back on track with D’Angelo RussellAustin Reaves , and Rui Hachimura stepping up big time. LeBron James also made his return versus the Wolves on Sunday.

Lakers News: Austin Reaves Receives Votes For Most Overrated & Underrated In Player Poll

Following the impressive performance from Anthony Davis, who put up 27 points, 25 rebounds, 7 steals, and 3 blocks, Reaves was in awe. Davis had the most productive game of the season, as the stat line completes the definition of his game.

Austin Reaves was asked about AD’s performance. Here is what he had to say:

Just pure dominance. You know, that’s what he does anytime we missed any shot, he was there to get an offensive rebound and give us another oppurtunity to score. 27 points is whatever, but 25 rebounds… Usually I say he’s supposed to do stuff like that but that’s impressive. Austin Reaves said

With the team having found its rhythm, the Lakers seem to be rolling, coming close to making it out of the Play-In bracket. With 36 wins and 30 losses, the Lakers are one game behind the 6th seed. Before the squad moves on to the next game, Davis’ performance versus the Wolves is one to dive deep into.

Anthony Davis made NBA history on Sunday night

Davis is the first player in history to put up a stat line of 25+ points, 25+ rebounds, 5+ assists, 5+ steals, and 3+ blocks in a single game. Not only that, his seven steals against Minnesota were his career high. Davis is averaging 24.8 points, 12.5 rebounds, and 2.5 blocks per game while playing 36 minutes. AD’s performance has improved significantly throughout the season, being more efficient and productive each night.

The Lakers are a complete team when James and Davis have been the primary players on both ends of the floor. A great example of the same was during the 2020 postseason. However this time, LA does not have stars like Danny GreenDwight Howard, or Kyle Kuzma. Instead, the Lakers do have great assets like Reaves, Vanderbilt and more.

Davis and team have won five of their last seven games, as they pick up the pace, eyeing the sixth seed. It will be interesting to see the Lakers finish this season as a top-six team in the West.
