The Philadelphia Eagles have not officially found a trade partner for edge rusher Haason Reddick, but they’re working on it.

ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler appeared on SportsCenter Saturday morning, reporting that the expectation around the NFL is that Reddick will be traded.

Fowler cited Philly’s big free agency addition of Bryce Huff and the re-signing of Josh Sweat as to why the Eagles’ don’t necessarily need Reddick anymore.

He also named the Arizona Cardinals and Atlanta Falcons as two potential teams to watch.

“The expectation leaguewide is that he is moved at some point,” Fowler said (h/t Bleacher Report). “The Eagles went and spent on Bryce Huff, they re-signed Josh Sweat, so they have their two pass rushers. Reddick appears to be the odd man out. He does want a new deal, but this is a premier guy that should have value. He wants a new contract, plus the draft capital that it’s going to take to get him. Arizona could be a team to watch because Jonathan Gannon was with him two years ago in Philly. They had good production together. Arizona needs pass rushers.

“Atlanta to an extent, so there should be teams in the mix.”

The Eagles granted Reddick permission to seek a trade on Super Bowl Sunday, although he didn’t ask it.

Just a few days after the report, Reddick made it publically clear that he would love to stay in Philly, however, he understands it’s a business.

Since Eagles’ general manager Howie Roseman has been looking to deal Reddick, it’s obvious that he is not eager to pay an almost 30-year-old edge more than the $16 million he’s due in 2024.

That $16 million is also not guaranteed.

Reddick has been the Eagles’ double-digit sack leader for the last two years. He deserves a solid deal.

It would be interesting to see him go back to the Cardinals who drafted him 13th overall in 2017 and then, of course, reunite with Gannon.

But the revamped Falcons would be a better option for him if he’s looking to play for a true 2024 contender.
