Best landing spots for WR Odell Beckham Jr. after sharing goodbye to Ravens

Wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. shared his goodbye to the Ravens on Sunday in a post on Instagram.

“Swea on everything, I appreciate the Flock more than all could EVER imagine,” he wrote. “Did everything I could with the opportunities I had. Wish I got to do it big for yall (ring emoji). Thank you for the Vibez! To the City of Baltimore, I (expletive) with yall forever FRRRR. And most importantly, to my brothers over there, this (expletive) a lifetime sentence: I love you all! Biggest Truzzz”

The 31-year-old’s best days are behind him, but he still proved to be serviceable in 2023 with 35 receptions for 565 yards and three touchdowns.

Here are three of the best landing spots for the three-time Pro Bowler and former Super Bowl champion.

Kansas City Chiefs

If Beckham Jr. wants to give it one more run at adding to his ring collection, joining forces with QB Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs would give him the best chance to do so. Kansas City already added wide receiver Marquise Brown in free agency, but that shouldn’t prohibit the team from adding another playmaker.

Chiefs receivers led the league in dropped passes (44) last season, so nobody’s job should be safe outside of Rashee Rice, the team’s second-round pick in 2023. Beckham Jr. would only add to what will likely be a very different-looking receiving corps in Kansas City.

New York Jets

The Jets already have an elite No. 1 wide receiver in Garrett Wilson, but they don’t have much after him. Beckham Jr. could complement Wilson well as New York looks to contend for a Super Bowl with the return of QB Aaron Rodgers.

Beckham Jr. began his NFL career in New York as a first-round pick by the Giants in 2014. So, what better way to finish it than in the same city and stadium where it all began?

Los Angeles Chargers

The Chargers are desperate for any wide receiver talent after trading Keenan Allen to the Chicago Bears and releasing Mike Williams as a salary cap casualty. They reportedly still have interest in bringing back Williams, but that wouldn’t prevent them from adding Beckham Jr. as well.

There is an argument that Beckham Jr. doesn’t fit into Los Angeles’ new offense, which will likely take a heavier run approach under new head coach Jim Harbaugh. However, options are slim, and the Chargers still have one of the more talented quarterbacks in the league in Justin Herbert, who would find a way to get Beckham Jr. the ball.
