Kenny Clark Makes Announcement About HC Matt LaFleur

The Green Bay Packers will certainly have a different looking defense in 2024.  A new defensive coordinator, defensive passing game coordinator, and defensive line coach will surely make some changes.  However, there is no doubt that defensive lineman Kenny Clark will continue to be the center point of the defensive line.

Clark has become a leader on the Packers and a player that many look up to.  However, Clark clearly looks up to this coaching staff.  Specifically Matt LaFleur.

Green Bay Packers Defensive Lineman Kenny Clark Had Something To Say About Head Coach Matt LaFleur

Matt Ramage sat down with pro bowl defensive lineman Kenny Clark to talk Packers.  He made a pretty eye opening remark about head coach Matt LaFleur:

Matt LaFleur Has Found Success With The Green Bay Packers

Five years ago, LaFleur barely got settled into his Wisconsin home when questions began to swirl: How would he get along with Rodgers? In what way will “the audible thing” work? Who is really in charge of the offense?

Despite spending all offseason answering that question, his first season on the field spoke volumes. In addition to finishing with 13-3 record, Green Bay also qualified for the NFC Championship.

LaFleur may have thought having one year under his belt would make his second year different and be able to just focus on football and have a regular offseason and season. In Green Bay, things looked bright as he and Rodgers worked well together.

A month or so before the NFL Draft, the COVID-19 pandemic hit and changed everything. How would the league handle its first big event after the Super Bowl? Would there even be a regular season? The questions were legitimate four years ago, but it’s weird to think about them now.

LaFleur would go on to which 13 games in each of his first three seasons.  While the Packers didn’t make it to the Super Bowl, it was clear LaFleur was a good hire.

As the Packers went 8-9 in 2022 with an influx of youth at receiver, LaFleur and the Packers knew there was a divorce coming between the team and Aaron Rodgers. In March, Rodgers announced he would play again, but for the New York Jets, asking for a trade that did not happen until days before the NFL draft.

2023 started out rough, however, the team bounced back and won seven of their final ten games. That included a playoff berth, a dominant Wild Card win over the Dallas Cowboys, and three points shy of an NFC Championship appearance.  The future still looks bright with LaFleur at the helm, and Kenny Clark backs that up.
