A.J. Brown was making headlines again this past week for reportedly being unhappy with the Eagles. However, as Brown mentioned just yesterday, rumors of his unhappiness were greatly exaggerated by the media.

When this topic came up again at the NFL Combine during Nick Sirianni’s time at the podium today he had nothing but glowingly positive things to share concerning the star Eagles wide receiver and team captain, A.J. Brown.

Sirianni could have been a bit harsh with the media member who was clearly looking for some clicks via some juicy details on A.J. Brown, but instead got a well-measured, excellent, professional answer from Sirianni.

Sirianni and the Eagles organization clearly love A.J. Brown. Given all the buzz among some speculative media, fans might be led to believe that Brown is some diva, but he is not. Eagles fans and Philadelphia media should be thankful that Brown has been the most productive wide receiver in team history two seasons in a row now.

This isn’t the first time that A.J. Brown has been portrayed by the media as some sort of diva and a problem who voices his unhappiness too quickly. When he was with the Titans, and on his way out of town, several media outlets and fans assumed he was demanding too much money and should be more “team first”, assuming that he wasn’t.

It turns out he’s just one of the best leaders, professionals, and teammates on top of being one of the most dominant wide receivers in the league. Titans fans and unprofessional media members like to assume he’s a bad guy for a couple obvious reasons. One, to make themselves feel better now that Brown is gone from their favorite team. And two to simply hope to create a story out thin air for attention.

It’s time to accept the fact that A.J. Brown is just one of the best in the game and an amazing human being.
