Stephen A. Smith Slams ‘Blasphemous’ Dak Prescott-Damian Lillard Comparison

Stephen A. Smith is not a fan of the Dallas Cowboys. That’s a known fact. The ESPN broadcaster is also far from a staunch supporter of Cowboys superstar quarterback Dak Prescott.

Dak Prescott opens up on Brandin Cooks and Tony Pollard

This is exactly why Stephen A could not help but go on one of his trademark tirades when he was asked to compare Prescott to one of the greatest shooters who’s ever picked up a basketball, Damian Lillard.

Stephen A. Smith Throws Shade on Dallas Cowboys Star Dark Prescott

One of the segments on The Stephen A. Smith Show features the renowned analyst answering questions from fans on Twitter. In a recent episode, Smith decided to address a query comparing Prescott to Lillard.

Stephen A did not like it one bit:

“That’s blasphemous,” he said (h/t Cole Shelton of Sportskeeda. “Don’t you ever utter such disrespectful words out your mouth again. Damian Lillard is the reigning two-time 3PT shooting champion. Damian Lillard is one of the most lethal scorers and lethal closers in the game. ‘Dame Time, Dame Time;’ he says that for a reason.

He then went on to point out the fact that Prescott not only hasn’t won anything in his career but also, that the three-time Pro Bowler hasn’t even been to the NFC Conference Championship:

“We ain’t seen that from Dak,” Smith continued. “Last time I checked, even though he lost in the Conference Finals, Damian Lillard went to the Conference Finals. Has that happened for Dak Prescott? It has not.

“In 8+ years in the league, the man has not been past the second round of the playoffs in the NFL. Don’t you dare make that kind of comparison again. That is blasphemous.”

For what it’s worth, Lillard has a shot of winning his first-ever career NBA championship this season after teaming up with Giannis Antetokounmpo. The Milwaukee Bucks are considered one of the favorites to go all the way this season.
