Stephanie Meyer, senior vice president and chief nursing officer at Children’s Mercy in Kansas City, said that none of the injured children are in critical condition and all are expected to make a full recovery.

While a tragedy is never easy to handle, hearing positive news like this is a huge sigh of relief when considering things could have been much worse.

The Chiefs also said that all of their players and family members are safe and accounted for after the shooting.
