Tyreek Hill Raises Eyebrows Over Reaction to Chiefs Making Super Bowl

For the second year in a row, Miami Dolphins wide receiver Tyreek Hill will be watching his former team, the Kansas City Chiefs, from afar as they participate in the Super Bowl. And according to Tyreek, that makes him feel a certain way.

“I tell the guys congratulations, I’m so proud of you guys… I wish it was kinda me (playing in the Super Bowl), I’m like the sad little brother,” Hill said of the Chiefs making the Super Bowl while on the red carpet at the NFL Honors on Thursday, February 8.

Tyreek Hill, who’s up for NFL Offensive Player of the Year, on the Red Carpet says he still keeps in touch with many of his fomer #Chiefs teammates and coaches — “I tell the guys congratulations, I’m so proud of you guys, I wish it was kinda me, I’m like the sad little brother.”

This is the first time Hill has shown signs of being disheartened by watching his former team succeed at a high level.

Though this doesn’t mean he has regrets regarding his decision to request a trade two years ago, Chiefs Kingdom will rest easy knowing that Hill will be watching the Super Bowl from the couch while Kansas City succeeds without him.

Twitter/X Reacts to Tyreek Hill’s Comments
Users on X, formerly Twitter, reacted to Hill’s comments while at the 2023 NFL Honors.

“That is an incredibly vulnerable comment by Tyreek,” one user wrote. “I am happy with where the chiefs are, but I would love to have him back. I root for him every week except when he plays against KC.”

“He turned down an incredibly rich contract offer after he saw what (Davante) Adams received and got jealous. I will never, ever have any sympathy for him,” another user wrote.

“Shouldnt have chased the bag…we were gonna pay him too,” another user wrote. “He said Tua (Tagovailoa) was more accurate…He said he didnt want to be the side to (Travis) Kelce. I wish he stayed too. But he is the reason our defense is lights out now.”
