2024 NFL Draft day three sleeper could be a perfect fit for the New Orleans Saints

The New Orleans Saints hold a whopping four five-round picks in the 2024 NFL Draft currently. Knowing them, they will use at least a couple of those to move up early in the draft. If they don’t, they will have plenty of ammo on day three of the draft.

South Dakota cornerback Myles Harden is an intriguing fit for the Saints on day three.

Check out what ESPN’s Field Yates said about Harden below.

I like cornerbacks who are disruptors and Harden unequivocally fits that bill. Back in the 2022 season, Harden forced six turnovers over the first four games (three interceptions, three forced fumbles) as a tenacious, confident, springy player who is excellent at the catch point. He has a ton of experience as a four-year player and ran a 4.50-second 40-yard dash at the combine, a good enough speed to fortify my belief that he’ll find an immediate role for a team as a third or fourth cornerback. And Harden — a top-150 prospect for me — has the upside to develop into a larger role in time. — Field Yates, ESPN

The small school defender was highlighted as a sleeper for Yates in this year’s class. He’s not getting a lot of national media attention, but he is a certified baller.

Plus, Harden fits what the Saints like in their cornerbacks. He is aggressive and knows how to bring energy to a defense.

Not to mention, he tested well. New Orleans has preferred top-end defensive athletes during the draft under their current regime. Harden fits that description, too.

As a playmaker in the secondary, he could be a great depth piece for New Orleans. They’ve found multiple defensive backs after round one in recent years (Alontae Taylor, Jordan Howden).

Could Harden join that list of talents?
